KRAYE, NANCY MEYER LAIER

Nancy, youngest daughter of Ernst and
Helen Kraye, was born and raised at the
ranch 12 miles south of Mullen. She attended
country school, Mullen High School, and
graduated from Chadron State College with
a degree in Elementary Education. Nancy
taught in Whitman for three years and
country schools for two years. On October 1,
1960 Nancy and Wilfried Meyer, son of
Friedrich and Gretchen (Meiners) Meyer, of
Wilhelmshaven, W. Germany, were married.
Wilfried was employed by a bakery and cafe
in Ogallala. They lived there until January of
1961, moving then to McCook where Wilfried
worked in a bakery.

Christel Jean was born 1961. In
October of 1962 Wilfried and family moved
to North Platte where he worked for Wilson
Motor Company, the Volkswagon dealer.

June 29, 1964, Curt Ernst, was born. He
passed away December 22, 1964.

Mark Friederick was born 1966.

Wilfried's father, Friederick Meyer, came
and spent about six years (1966-1975) with
the family in North Platte. He returned
during the summers to Wilhelmshaven. On
August 20, 1976 Wilfried passed away.

Nancy taught sixth grade at the Catholic
School in North Platte (1968-1981). She
made four trips to Germany to visit relation
and Wilfried's relation.

September 4, 1981 Nancy Kraye Meyer
and Duane Laier were married.

Duane was born and raised in the Eustis
community. His grandparents came from
Wurttemberg, Germany. Duane nd Nancy
live on a farm three miles north of Eustis.
They belong to the Lutheran Church and are
active in community affairs.

Christel graduated from Nebraska Wes-
leyan University and has taught German for
three years in the Seward Schools. Mark
graduated from Eustis High School and is
attending Nebraska Wesleyan University.
