Glenn and Vera Milander. September 5, 1976 - 50th Anniversary


Glenn Everett Milander born April 25,
1903 in Memphis, Nebraska to Phillip and
Zoie (Smith) Milander. His parents were
united in marriage July 17, 1887 with three
children, Jesse, Louis and Glenn.

In 1911 at the age of eight, Glenn moved
with his parents nine miles south of Mullen,
where they homesteaded and lived there till
he married.

He was united in marriage to Vera Marie
Maire, daughter of August and Nancy
(Clardy) Maire on September 6, 1926 at
Brewster, Nebr. They had two daughters.
One daughter Catherine passed away in 1937
and Mrs. Wayne (Betty) Hampton of Mullen.
They lived south of Mullen moving to South
Cherry County in 1933. They moved to
Mullen in 1937, where Glenn was employed
at Mullen Co-op under John Gillespie a few
years. Then he worked for Elliott Lowe at
Lowe Hardward and Implement Co. for
thirteen years, until he went into business for
himself at Milander Motors.

Glenn passed away November 22, 1980.
