Milander Motor Company - 1937

Glenn Milander purchased a Building and
Land from Bob and Pearl Wolfenden in 1947,
which at that time was a small building used
as a liquor store. Nancy Maire and Betty
Milander rented the building and ran a
Hamburger stand till Glenn sold the building
to George Marshall and Floyd "Fat" Gor-
such. They added to the west and made a
garage and sold Kaiser-Frasier.

In 1950 Glenn Milander purchased the
building and real estate and the stock back
from Marshall's and Gorsuch. The real estate
takes in several yards to the west, giving
ample space for a parking lot. Mr. Milander
no longer sold the Kaiser-Frasier, but contin-
ued on with the Willy's, Jeep, Buick, Pontiac
and G.M.C. Franchise as well as any make of
tractors and services. He was with the J.E.
Lowe and Louis Lowe Hardware and Im-
plement Co. for thirteen years.

Glenn was known in this area and surroun-
ding area for his car dealing and mechanic
ability, which he engaged in for more than
forty-three years, having owned and operated
the Milander Motors the past thirty years. He
was also an Insurance Agent for Farmers
Insurance Group, having received his thirty
years ring the morning of his death in 1980.
