First Truck of McIntosh Fleet 1936. Bill
McIntosh and Josephine

McIntosh Trucking originated in 1935. Bill
purchased a new straight truck and later
bought a pup trailer. He bought his first semi-
truck and trailer in 1955. Later Bill pur-
chased two diesel tractors with pot trailers.

After Bill's death in 1978, his son, Melvin,
assumed the responsibility of operating the
business with his mother, Josephine. Today,
fifty-three years later, the business is still in
operation. Melvin's son, Bernie, is also
involved in the trucking business.
