ISOM DRAGLINE SERVICE

In the spring of 1973 John Isom quit
working for Franke Cons't Co., where he had
worked for 30 years, to start a dragline
business of his own. After looking for 3
months he found what he wanted in Norton
Kansas, with the help of the Cornhusker Co.
of North Platte. The Cornhusker hauled it to
North Platte where it was overhauled and
then delivered to Mullen. Joe Isom then
joined his Dad (after moving from Denver)
and the Isom Dragline was formed and
Incorporated. Some years later when Franke
Cons't sold out the dragline that John ran
when he worked for them was purchased and
two machines were put to work. This contin-
ued for 10 years. In 1983 the Corp. was
discontinued and Joe bought the dragline
from his Dad. Later he sold the old Franke
dragline to a man in Colo. John and Joe both
delivered it. From 1983 until present time
(1988) Joe still maintains and works the
dragline on numerous jobs. To his service he
has added a dozer, dumptruck and scraper.
