Lessie Belle (Boyer) Ferguson is the young-
est daughter of Fielden and Enice (James)
Boyer, born July 13, 1922, about 10 miles
north and east of Mullen, Nebr. in South
Cherry County. She attended the Virginia
School till in 7the grade where her parents
moved into Mullen in 1934. She graduated
from Mullen High School in 1940. After
graduation she worked in the shipyard at
Portland, Oregon and met and married
Richard A. Johnson and to this union two
children were born, Mary Belle and Samuel
Reed. Richard served in World War II. He
was wounded and discharged in 1945.

Later she married John Ferguson in 1955,
and to this union two children were born
Elmer Thomas and James Edwin. John
worked in the Railroad depot for 15 years,
was laid off in 1965. We moved to North
Platte where he worked as a maintenance
man at the Holiday Inn and The Mall. John
passed away May 26, 1976. She moved to
Mullen in 1977.

Mary Belle married Jim Osburn, they have
3 children Lynn, Cindy and Jay Dee. They
reside at Valentine, Nebr.

Samuel married Chris Geise and they have
2 sons, Shane and Cory. They live in Ennis,
Montana.

Elmer Thomas married Cindy Manke and
they have 2 children Heidi and Scotty. He is
with the Air Force at Alaska.

James Edwin married Deb Hasselman.
They have 2 children, Jeannie and Jonathan.
They reside in Grand Island.
