Wayne Isom, son of Glee and Erma (Boyer)
Hampton was born July 26, 1926 at Mullen,
Nebr. in an old Hugh Boyer Sr. home, which
now owned by Ed and Bonnie Hilderhoff.
Wayne attended grade school at the Reigle
school north of Mullen, then Junior year in
Mullen. Then graduated high school at
Halfway, Missouri, where his parents had
moved in Feb. 1935.

Wayne married Betty Berniece Milander
Dec. 21, 1948 at Alliance, Nebr., daughter of
Glenn and Vera (Maire) Milander. To this
union two sons were born Don and Dale.
Betty was born 1927, south of Mullen,
Ne. She attended her first year south of
Mullen, then her parents moved north of
Mullen, where she attended the James school
till 1937, graduated in Mullen High School
1945. Attended College at Kearney College
one summer, then to Chadron State College
two summers. Taught Lakes school one year
and Simonson school.

Betty was a housewife while we lived in
Kansas, Wayne worked for Peter Kiewitt
Son's Construction Co. till 1962, then for
Mid-Kansas Construction Co. at Wichita,
Kansas till 1968, moved to Mullen worked for
Milander Motor till 1976. Betty was em-
ployed for Eriksen and Gibson Agency, then
for Gibson Agency. In 1976 after Bud Gibson
passed away we bought the Agency, which is
now Hampton Agency.

Don married Teresa Emmons in 1973 in
Mullen, Nebr., daughter of Emery and
Annette (Hodges) Emmons. To this union
four children were born Mindy, Travis, Deon
and Dana. Don is employed with the Hamp-
ton Agency and Teresa is a L.P.N. (Licensed
Practical Nurse) and part time at Hampton
Agency.

Dale married Freda Maire in 1979 in
Mullen, Nebr., daughter of Fred and Gladith
(Capellan) Maire. They have three children
Wendy, Denise and Brenda. Dale is employed
with a long haul truck driver coast-to-coast.
Freda is a relief driver with Dale.
