Larry Lee Isom was born
1950 to Paul Marion and Marion Belle
(Pearman) Isom in Mullen, Nebraska. Larry
attended school in Mullen graduating from
High School in 1968.

Captain Larry L. Isom first enlisted in the
Air Force in December 1968. After training
he went to Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam, August
1969 - August 1970. Upon returning from
Viet Nam, he went to Davis Monthan AFB,
Tucson, Arizona and served as an ENT
Technician. After two years of training,
Master Sargent Isom was awarded the Physi-
cian's Assistant Degree. He completed his
Bachelor's Degree from the University of
Nebraska College of Medicine as a Second
Lieutenant. While stationed at Travis AFB,
he was the First PA selected to specialize in
ENT. In June 1982 he was assigned to United
States Air Force at Colorado Springs, Colo-
rado where he serves at the Academy hospi-
tal.

Larry was married to Nancy Lee Hilder-
hoff at Seneca, Nebraska January 23, 1971.
Nancy is the daughter of Ruth Andersen of
Seneca and Edward Hilderhoff of Pennsylva-
nia. Larry and Nancy have three children,
Christina Lyn born 1972 at
Tucson, Arizona. Christina is a sophomore
and a cheer leader. Their son, David Paul was
born 1976 at March AFB, Sunny-
mead, California. David is a sixth grader and
has a second degree brown belt in karate.
Angela kay was born 1979 at Hill
AFB, Utah. Angela is a second grader and
active in gymnastics.

Nancy, a full time home maker, is a
certified interior decorator, receiving her
certification in December, 1986. Nancy and
Larry's home refiects her artistic talent. Both
Larry and Nancy are active in church, serving
on the parish council and teaching Junior
High Sunday School.

Magazine of the USAF Academy of Colorado
Springs May 1984 of which Larry was one of
the feature writers: "Larry's wife, Nancy
from Nebraska and three children, Christina
11, David 7, Angie 4, are a credit to our Air
Force family."
