Paul Thomas "Tom" Roseberry Sr. was the
third son of John L. and Oscee G. Roseberry.
He was born in Cherry County, Nebraska, on
September 27, 1897. He was a lifetime
resident of the Sandhills. Tom attended the
University of Nebraska and was a veteran of
World War I. His adult life was spent in
managing the family ranch, Roseberry Cattle
Co., until the death of his mother. In 1955 he
bought the former Kenneth Hubbard ranch
and formed a family corporation with his
children. He managed the Pullman Cattle Co.
from 1956 until his retirement in 1968.

Marie Boyer, the oldest child of Joe and
Verda Boyer, was born February 14, 1910, in
Cherry County. She attended school in
Cherry County and graduated from Mullen
High School.

On September 27, 1930, Tom Roseberry
and Marie Boyer were married in Alliance,
Nebraska. They ranched in Cherry County
until their retirement. After the blizzard of
'49, Marie and Tom earned their private
pilots' licenses and flew their own plane for
several years.

Marie and Tom Roseberry were the par-
ents of three children: John J. of Alliance;
Tom Jr. of Mullen; and Lenore (Mrs. Don)
Larsen of Lusk, Wyoming. All five members
of this family are graduates of Mullen High
School.

After their retirement, MArie and Tom
lived at their home in Mullen. Tom died in
1974 and Marie in 1985.
