SWAIN, LYNN AND GLADYS (WALLS)

Lynn and Gladys Swain 40th Anniversary 1982


Lynn Dean Swain was born April 1, 1916
on his Grandmother's ranch near Ainsworth
Nebraska. The oldest child of Clyde and
Mary (Robb) Swain, he moved to the Dalton,
and Sidney, Ne. area, as a small child with his
family he had three brothers John, Clyde Jr.
and Howard and four sisters, Rose, June,
Maryanne, and Virginia. He worked for
Franke Construction Co. from1942 until the
spring of 1976.

In Dec. of 1942, he married Gladys Walls,
who was born at Lewellen, Nebr. on Nov. 1,
1925, Youngest of three children of John and
Goldie (Dilley) Walls.

In 1971 we bought the Stella Eckles house
and lived there until Lynn passed away Jan.
8, 1985. He is buried in Cedarview Cemetery
at Mullen, Ne.

I was the Avon lady for fifteen and one-half
years helped with Brownies for nine years. On
August 30, 1985, I married Francis "Frank"
Sexton in Mullen and we are still living in
Mullen.
